So it's the first day of E3--the gamer's Super Bowl--and today was the Microsoft press conference. Aside from the cringe-inducing amount of cheese (anxiously awaiting to see if Nintendo can top it--they usually bring their A game when it comes to cheese), they showed off a ton of games, most of which I have no interest in.

The big focus was their new motion control thingamajig, recently dubbed Kinect. While I do think the tech is impressive, I could care less about more motion controlled games. It's fun for parties and families, but when it comes down to really getting into the action, I'd rather have a controller. That's why I have a 360 and PS3 in addition to my Wii--sometimes I don't want to wave my arms around while I play games.

The other games they showed didn't excite me much: Halo Reach, another Call of Duty Game, Fable 3, Gears of War 3. Those are all good games, but they're also all inevitable games, sequels.
