Interacting with Heavy Rain

I got around to playing the Heavy Rain demo recently and I was quite impressed. Let me rephrase that, I got around to interacting with the Heavy Rain demo recently--this isn't really a game that you play. The basic controls are clunky and the fancy pop-up displays aren't always intuitive, but the presentation is so inviting, the setting so intriguing that it's hard not to be impressed.

The developers have done some interesting things when it comes to how you interact with characters and the environment. The button presses and stick gestures, while still slightly disconnected from the action on screen, work much better than the goofy Simon-like sequence minigame you had to play during action scenes in their last game, Indigo Prophecy.
